The Upper Strata is a Switzerland-based synth-pop indie duo, known for constantly pushing creative boundaries. Their latest project, Celestial Vagabonds, merges music, storytelling, and visual art, drawing inspiration from sci-fi, noir, and fantasy.

With previous releases incorporating elaborate printed companions, this new graphic novel and soundtrack hybrid continues their tradition of blending media to create immersive experiences.

While Johnny has a degree in fine arts, Regula is a media artist by trade. The two worked as a team creating the illustrations, songs and stories.

Juniper and Ivy sneak through an imperial space station intent on sabotage, Hector cruises in his aircar to that side of town, sure there will be trouble, the Azu await the Tuzat’s return as they roam the stars, Zirkus a cruel ringmaster leads his show through a ragged underworld, and all of it relayed by the Celestial Vagabonds.
